Simulated Driven Shooting Academy at Ballynatray
From 1st May 2011 we are pleased to offer simulated driven shooting at Ballynatray. Simulated shoots offer the same excitement, fun and spectacle of driven shoots, but use an array of challenging clays instead of live game. The clay traps are deployed strategically, out of sight and send targets randomly at varying heights and speeds designed to replicate Partridge, Grouse and the highest Pheasant.

The picturesque Ballynatray landscape provides a spectacular backdrop in spring, summer or early autumn to the four varied drives. A competition before the final drive concludes the day's shooting. Lunch is in the marquee which is situated in the Walled Garden and guests can relax and enjoy the commanding views of the Blackwater River, Molana Abbey and Templemichael Castle.

We can offer large or small groups simulated driven shooting between 2nd May and 30th September 2011. The minimum group size is 4 and the largest group we can accommodate is 64. Groups can be made up of individual guests and we can match individuals to shooting groups, if required. All of the drives are within easy walking distance from the centre of the estate, but should the weather be inclement, a mini-bus will be available for the convenience of our guests. Non-shooting guests are welcome to accompany each group or can join groups for meals for a charge.

Some guests may like to stay on the estate after the shooting in our many beautiful self-catering units.

Located on the Cork / Waterford Border

In a convenient location at the Cork/Waterford border, the estate is just 45 minutes from Cork airport, it is excellently located and should you wish to explore beyond the Estate, it is 10 minutes from spectacular coastlines in Ardmore and 40 minutes from the world famous Ballymaloe House Restaurant and Ballymaloe Cookery School and Gardens.
